Informasi Awal - Universitas Pasir Pengaraian merupakan perguruan tinggi swasta di Rokan Hulu, Riau. 1 Awal pendiriannya, Universitas Pasir Pangaraian berasal dari nama Politeknik Pasir Pengaraian POLIPERA yang didirikan oleh Yayasan YP3D pada 2 Agustus 2002. Namun kemudian, Yayasan YP3D berubah menjadi Yayasan Pembangunan Rokan Hulu YRPH. Kemudian pada 19 Juli 2007 didirikan Akademi Kebidanan AKBIDPAPE.
